The New Idealist was founded in the UK as a free current affairs magazine with international contributors. The magazine is currently on hiatus.

The New Idealist Issue Seven (Special Edition): Published in July 2015 following several dreams experienced by the founder of The New Idealist, this issue features a sidebar narrative of real world events alongside futuristic, fictional depictions from their dreams. Almost ten years later, as we enter ‘The New Future’, perhaps this issue now reads in places like a scenario mixing elements of the Covid-19 pandemic and the onset of a possible World War Three.

The New Idealist Issue Six: This issue hosted different perspectives on autism and neurodiversity.

The New Idealist Issue Five: This issue explored climate change in the modern world.

The New Idealist Issue Four: With the actor Jodhi May as the Guest Editor, this issue featured an interview with Camila Batmanghelidjh CBE, the children’s rights campaigner.

The New Idealist Issue Three: This issue explores the importance of protecting whistleblowers and the UK Human Rights Act.

The New Idealist Issue Two: With so much attention on IQ – isn’t EQ just as important?

The New Idealist Issue One: This issue explores the threat of decreasing social mobility after the promise of increased opportunities for those looking to improve their standard of life.
